(PR) New Patriot LX PRO Series Obliterates Current SDHC Class10 Performance Classification

I have been real happy with my Patriot SDHC 16GB Class 10 card but these new NAND flash cards from Patriot Memory take you to the next level. The Pro Series of the LX line have increased the the transfer speeds to 20MB/s, twice that of a typical Class 10 SDHC card. The high-speed transfer speeds ensure photographs and video are written to the memory card instantly to the Patriot LX PRO Series

We had an exciting visit from our Mimio Rep yesterday!

I think that we needed this little refresh of the Mimio Products because I didn’t realize just how much their software and hardware integration had progressed from product that we had in-house for demo purposes. Today we will be putting in an order for a new demo kit, once you see what these products do you won’t be able to resist getting one for organization.

Intel 320 Series SSD with 25 nm NAND Flash Slated for 28 March

Intel's 320 series solid-state drives (SSDs) are on track for a March 28 launch. The silicon giant is on a bit of a spree with its SSD product launches over the past few weeks. Intel 320 series, also referred to as "Postville Refresh", succeeds the company's X25-V and X25-M series, consisting of SATA 3 Gb/s SSDs in the 2.5-inch form-factor. The drives achieve sequential read speeds of 250 MB/s, and write speeds of 170 MB/s; Up to 39,500 IOPS random 4 KB reads, and up to 23,000 IOPS random 4 KB writes.

Samsung Unveils SyncMaster Monitor with Ultra Wide Band Wireless Technology

Samsung flexed its market arm today by releasing one of the first monitors to feature Ultra Wide Band (UWB) technology. UWB is a method of wirelessly connecting the monitor to the PC/Laptop. The power cord stays, but hey, the lesser the cables the better, right? Samsung is bundling a UWB dongle that plugs into the PC/notebook's display connector, and relays video wirelessly to the display.

Film recreation of Soviet cosmonaut Gagarin's historic spaceflight to be shown off next month -- Engadget

There is a lot of rich history that evolved during the race to space. The Soviet’s of course won that race but we were the first to the moon. An Italian astronaut, Paolo Nespoli, who is currently on the space station, has directed a video recording commemorating the 50th anniversary of Gagarin’s flight into space on April 12th.
