News Alert! Windows XP w/SP2 Support is coming to an end July 13

Microsoft has announced for quite awhile now that they were ending support for Windows XP SP2 next month. Not to worry though, Windows XP SP3 is still going to be supported until 2014 and it has been recommended for a long time that you upgrade to this service pack if only for the security updates that it supplies. In fact, if your system can handle it, maybe you should consider upgrading to Windows 7 while you are making the change if your system can take advantage of this wonderful new operating system.

If you do decide to upgrade to Windows 7 remember that you will have to do a fresh load on your system. This is not a bad thing in that it gets rid of all the accumulated applications that that pile up over time while trying new programs on your PC. To protect yourself from any data loss and to make your transition easier take a look at my earlier post that gives you a checklist to follow when doing your upgrade.

If you decide not to upgrade to Windows 7, then be sure to download and install service pack 3 on you system before July 13th
