Clean Up Weekend!
I have made some major changes to Bobs Tech Talk this past week! Some new features and I believe a much cleaner look as well. The biggest change involves three new page additions including Bob’s Videos, Contact and Bobs Tech Talk Archive pages.
I have also redesigned the main sign on page that displays summary paragraphs instead of the whole post on the main page. This makes it much simpler to view and scroll down the initial landing page to see the last 15 posts. Clicking on the header or the Click to read more… link will bring up the full posting.
The full posting page now has a View Printer Friendly Version and Email Article to Friend options that will make the ability to have a hard copy of the article or to share the page with others much easier.
I produced a couple of new Review/How To Videos this weekend. I am in the midst of trying to settle down to a consistent format. The new Camtasia Studio 7 is such a pleasure to use now but I have run into some problems with having to restart the application at times because of failures when rendering the video to ScreenCast.
I have also made some changes to my banner and a couple of the display pages format has changed to allow more information to be displayed. Remember that you can always click on the banner to return to home page.
The Bob’s Video page has several auto update features associated with it. I have added at the top the last videos that I have produced and then I have scroll menus for both of my YouTube accounts, and three scroll bars menus to display the contents of my primary ScreenCast folders. So as I add new videos to ScreenCast they will show up here immediately.
The Bob’s Tech Talk Archive includes every post on this site in newest to oldest order. Just the titles are being listed so even thought the list is long, it is so bad to go through. If you are looking for a specific article just type in the search terms that you are looking for in the Quick Links field and press Enter or click on the arrow button. Everything has been cross indexed so this should help you find whatever it is that you are looking for.
I have included a link below to the new issue of the Laurel Mountain Post. I have an article in this issue on Apple’s iPad release. This was originally written February so take that into account. I have written quite a few more recent postings since I submitted this but I provide some reasons to and not to purchase the iPad in this article of Tech Talk.
