Soft-spoken Troy Polamalu appears on the Jimmy Fallon show

It never ceases to amaze me how such a sweet, quiet man can play The Game the way Troy does but it is a thing of wonder. He is such a good fit for the Steelers, whose personnel are all the hard work ethic and controlled personal lives type of people. You don’t last long when you don’t fit this mold with the Pittsburgh Steelers. I really think this is even more so then in past years and that this is what brings the team together, working together and the friendships that arise on the team. Team Spirit is what makes an organization click. Picking up where your fellow worker/teammate leaves off is what makes your organization better then the ones that don’t do this. While this doesn’t have the same tone as most of my technical articles it is meant to make us all stop and realize that we are all in this together and where we finish is dependent on how we approach our lives both at home and at work.

Note: almost forgot to put in that the reason Troy appeared on this show was to promote his support for Operation Once in a Lifetime which promotes granting returning Vets there special wish. Much like the Make a Wish Foundation does for children.

New iPhone App for publishing to your SquareSpace Blog

This is my first posting made from my iPhone to my SquareSpace blog. Of course, I can't possibly type as fast on this keyboard as I do on my PC, but if you are on the road and you want to put something up, this seems pretty simple to do.

It provides a rolling list of all your categories, you can adjust the publishing date and time, and you can add pictures on the fly either from your stored images or you can take one on the fly. One drawback on the photos, I don't see any formatting capabilities like I have with LiveWriter. I know, picky, picky.

You can save your post as a works-in-progress or post it up very simply. And, if you have multiple sites you can set them all up and have them handy. I'll work up some screen shots when I do my follow up.

CCI FaceBook Page

I am testing out FaceBook’s ability to have separate pages attached to an account. I have setup a FaceBook page for Computer Connections and I am trying out different things to begin fleshing it out. I still prefer a blog approach which gives me more control over the site, but this provides another conduit for getting our message out there. I will post more information as I figure all of this out.

I have submitted two one day campaigns. Hopefully, they will be accepted.

Logitech to acquire LifeSize Communications

LifeSize Communications makes products for PC video communications. In an interesting trend LifeSize announced yesterday that they have agreed to be acquired by Logitech International for $405 million in cash. Logitech plans on LifeSize to continue operating as a separate division under the leadership  Craig Malloy the current CEO of LifeSize Communications.
