Windows Server 2000 Reaches End of Support in July
Now is the time to start thinking about replacing that outdated Windows 2000 Server. July marks the date for support services of this version of Windows Server to be discontinued. Current Server Operating Systems offer so much more flexibility and function and you need the security that is part of the newer server opsys’s.
After 10 years, Windows 2000 Server will reach end support on July 13, 2010. As part of this retirement, new updates – including security updates – will no longer be available. Computer Connections and Microsoft recommends migrating to Windows Server 2008 R2 in order to reduce the risk of running products that have reached the end of their support cycle.
